In an interview with Jorge Sempere, the manufacturer of jacquard frames, warp mesh and comb tucking explains the latest industry trends and challenges, and what they will present at ITMA Milan.
How has the industry evolved since the last ITMA edition held in 2019?
Due to global circumstances, like pandemic and war, we have seen that right now textile sector is not in the best moment, even though, it has not affect to our company, even, we have increased sales.
What are next year’s main challenges for Jorge Sempere?
Grow internationally, especially in the purchase and sale of textile machinery and manufacture of Jacquard harnesses.
Which novelties and innovations will you present at ITMA Milan?
We would like to improve the construction of Jacquard harnesses saving costs. Thanks to CDTI and AITEX we have developed a project that we have almost finished for the thread that we spend on the harnesses, which is recycled Pet.
Which impact is digitalization having on your organization?
The main impact on digitization has been the changes in the management program. Also the positioning and improvements on our website.
Sustainability has become a key factor in the textile industry. How is it affecting your company?
As we have mentioned before, thanks to the project with CDTI and AITEX, we are developing the recycled PET yarn project
